Compared to the situation in atmospheric surrounding the chamber occupants have to face harder conditions under pressure.
It is therefore very important for the safety and well-being of the occupants that during the whole exposure a relatively good and constant visual communication with the chamber operator is guaranteed.
For constant direct observation of the chamber occupants there are windows with a clear diameter of 75 mm, 150 mm, 250 mm, 200 mm, 300 mm or 350 mm are installed in the cylinder front wall and shell respectively rectangular doors.
- The windows are made of special acrylic glass.
- They are sealed with an O-ring to the window frame at the perimeter.
- Each pane has been tested and certified under supervision of the TÜV.
- The pane is marked with the date of test, manufacturing company and TÜV-stamp.
